1. Introduction

Website@School has five built in editors. Three WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editors, a plain HTML editor and a collaborative remote editor:

Except CREW, the preferred editor for the specific user can be set in her basic user properties. Please see chapter Account Manager, paragraph 3. Users.

2. WYSIWYG editors

There is no need to redo what is already perfectly done by Frederico Caldera Knabben, the creator of the (F)CKEditor(s), and others who have created manuals in several languages. Please see the lnks below.

2.1 English manuals

2.2 Spanish manual

A Spanish manual (for the FCkEditor only) can be found at:

http://wyxs.net/web/was_es/editors/. It was found on http://www.templatesaga.com/nav/documentacion/editores/manualFCKEditor.html.

2.3 Dutch manual

Dutch manuals can be found at: http://wyxs.net/web/was_nl/editors/,

3. Plain HTML editor

The plain HTML editor is ideal for learning HTML.

When you create pages with the HTML editor, do not use the opening tags <html>, <head>, <title> and <body>tags, nor their closing tags. These are set with the theme. This can be observed when viewing the page source in the web browser.

NOTE: both the CKEdior and the FCKeditor use the <p> tag to start a page. It's a good idea to also use this tag at the beginning of your plain HTML page.

There is no manual for this editor. Numerous links can be found on the Internet on how to learn HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language). It's a simple laanguage with endless markup possibilities. One of the best links is http://www.w3schools.com/.
